< Previous | Home | Next > Q. What is the difference between SOA management and SOA governance? A. SOA management is focused on the runtime aspects of the SOA while SOA governance is primarily focused on the development process. The SOA management system must insure that business services in the SOA are consistently reliable and meet the expectations of the business's customers, internal users, partners, suppliers, and regulators. SOA governance is focused on the tracking and control of development artifacts and must be integrated into the development process. Ideally, management and governance should work together to form a complete link across the entire lifecycle of development and production deployment in a SOA in terms of enforcing and sharing enterprise and business policy.
